Our policies

Read these before you plan a day. Each one starts from the same promise: you stay in charge of your own seat.

Undressing and draping

Chair massage is done fully clothed and seated, with no oil. Your therapist works through your clothes and never asks you to undress. If you would like a table massage, ask us and we will point you to a licensed therapist who offers one.

Pressure, consent and stopping

Tell your therapist how firm you like it before you sit and any time after. Lighter, firmer or somewhere else is one sentence away, and you can stand up whenever you like, for any reason.

When to ask your doctor first

If you are pregnant, healing from an injury or surgery, or living with a medical condition, ask your doctor before you sign up for a seat. When you sit down, tell your therapist anything they should avoid.

Before your visit

Wear what you would wear to work. Take off glasses, a lanyard or a necklace that sits at the neck, and have a drink of water afterward. There is nothing else to prepare.

Booking and deposits

Send us the date, the place and the headcount. We reply in writing with a plan, and the date is held once you accept it. A deposit may hold the date for a larger event, and the written plan shows it before you agree.

Canceling and running late

Please tell us at least seven days before an event if you need to move or cancel it, since our therapists are booked for the whole day. If weather, illness or a building closure gets in the way, tell us and we will find another date.

If you miss an appointment

If an event is called off without word and our team arrives, the deposit is kept. A guest who misses a slot on the sign-up sheet only loses that slot, and the next person moves up.

Children and companions

Perch seats adults only. At a school, our sessions are for teachers and staff, never students. At a conference, we do not seat guests under 18.

Tipping

Tipping is optional and never expected. Some offices leave a thank-you for the therapists at the sign-up table, and guests may tip their therapist directly.

If you're not happy

If a seat was not right, tell us within a few days and we'll make it right.
